Day 1 – SUNDAY AFTERNOON – February 24 – After church, depart the U. S. and travel to the Holy Land
Day 2 – MONDAY – February 25 – Arrival in Tel Aviv – Jaffa
Welcome to the Land of your Bible! We arrive in Tel Aviv, upon arrival we will meet our representative who will assist us through customs, then we will meet our local guide and driver and the only stop for today will be Jaffa on the Mediterranean Sea (time permitting). After our tour in Jaffa we will transfer to our hotel in Tel Aviv for dinner and overnight. (P,P)
Day 3 – TUESDAY – February 26 – Tel Aviv – Israel Museum – Bethlehem – Shepherd’s Field
We will depart from Tel Aviv, and head directly to visit The Shrine of The Book museum (included), where some of the Dead Sea Scrolls are kept, we will also visit the Model City of Jerusalem to see the city in Jesus time in Jerusalem. We will take a short drive to reach Bethlehem for lunch (included) and to visit the Church of Nativity built over the cave of Christ’s birth, as well as the Shepherd’s field where the Shepherds saw the stars of the Nativity. Then we will go to our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. (B, L,D)
Day 4 – WEDNESDAY – February 27 – Temple Mount – Wailing Wall – Western Wall Tunnels – St. Anne – Mt. Olives – Mt. Zion – Jewish Quarter – Davidson Centre
This morning after breakfast, we will ascend the Temple Area; from there we will pass the Dome of the Rock Mosque, and the Aqsa Mosque. After that we continue by visiting the wailing wall the holiest place for Jews, then we continue with a visit to the Western Wall Tunnels and Excavations site (included) here we will walk on the very stones where Jesus trod Herod’s “second temple’, and see the place where our Savior taught the scriptures. Then we visit the Church of St. Anne and Pools of Bethesda (included). We then travel a short distance to the Mount of Olives for a breathtaking view of Jerusalem and a panoramic photo where our guide will point out the most important sites in Jerusalem, then we will walk the Palm Sunday Road. After that we continue to visit Jewish Quarter where we will see David’s Citadel. End of the day will be visiting the Southern Wall excavations (included). Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 5 – THURSDAY- February 28 – Valley of Shadow – Jericho – Qumran – Ein Gedi – Dead Sea
After breakfast we depart from Jerusalem, and stop at Wadi Qelt, the Biblical Valley of Shadow of Death, then we continue to visit Qumran (included), to see the caves where the Essenes lived and hid the Dead Sea Scrolls. After then go have lunch (included). We then visit Jericho one of the oldest cities in the world, we will enter Jericho to see the excavations of the ancient walls (included), view the Mount of Temptation, and see Elijah’ s Spring. Our next stop will be at En Gedi, a green oasis in the middle of the desert and see the area where David hid while fleeing from King Saul. Time to meditate at the Oasis of Ein Gedi (I Samuel 24). We will then continue to our hotel in Hotel in Dead Sea for dinner and overnight.
Day 6 – FRIDAY – March 01 – Masada – Timna Park
After having breakfast, we will travel to Masada (entrance and cable car included), truly a remarkable piece of history where Jewish rebels confronted the Romans. After our exciting tour of Masada, we will we will travel to Timna Park (included), here, you will enjoy a remarkable geological park with amazing phenomena, in addition to a life size replica of the Tabernacle. Lunch will be provided as a lunch boxes during the day. We will then return to our hotel at the Dead Sea for dinner and overnight. where you can enjoy the Dead Sea facilities and Spa.
Day 7 – SATURDAY – March 02 – Bethabara – Jacob’s Well – Megiddo – Tiberias
Depart our hotel at the Dead Sea and head to Bethabara, where John baptized those who came to him, this is also known as the “place of crossing”. Then we will continue to Jacob’s well in Nablus (Biblical Shechem) where Jesus asked a Samaritan woman for a drink and offered her living water. After lunch, we will continue to Megiddo on the Plain of Armageddon to see King Solomon’s stables and water supply system in addition to other ancient ruins and discuss the Armageddon. We will then continue to Tiberias for dinner and overnight in Tiberias
Day 8 – SUNDAY – March 03 – Sea of Galilee – Capernaum – Mt. Beatitudes – Valley of the Doves – Yardenit Baptismal Site
Tabgha – Magdala
After breakfast we will depart for a boat ride (included) across the Sea of Galilee, while we are on the boat we will pause for a brief worship service and remember the many miracles that our Lord performed in this area. We’ll dock at Ginosar to visit the “Jesus Boat” museum (included) to see a boat that dates back to the time of Jesus. Then we reach Capernaum (included), to see the remains of an early church, the remains of Peter’s house, and the ancient synagogue. Then we will gather on the Mount of Beatitudes by Sea of Galilee. We will then travel to Tabhga, the region where Our Lord multiplied the loaves and the fish and where He appeared to His Disciples after the Resurrection. We will then travel to Magdala, the hometown of Mary Magdalene where we will see the only synagogue that Jesus would have been in that is still intact, amounts other ruins of the town. End of the day will be visiting the Baptismal Site at Yardenit, then we will back to our hotel in dinner and overnight. (B,L,D)
Day 9 – MONDAY – March 04 – Caesarea Philipi – Tel Dan – Tel Hazer – Korazin – Land of Gadarenes
We start our day with a visit to the site of Banias (Caesrea Philipi) (included), one of the sources of the Jordan River. Near here Peter made his great confession that Jesus Christ was Lord. Today will include many biblical sites in the Upper Jordan Valley: Tel Hazer (included) (Josh. 11:10; 1 Kgs. 9:15), Tel Dan (included). Then we continue to Korazin (entrance included), a town condemned by Jesus for failing to accept His teachings. End of the day will be viewing Land of Gadarenes. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
Day 10 – TUESDAY – March 05 – Nazareth – Beit Shean – Mt. Arbel/Valley of the Doves
We depart the hotel and go to Nazareth the boyhood of Jesus. We will then stop and visit the excavations at Beit She’an (included). Here we will see the excavations of the city where the Philistines hung the bodies of Saul and Jonathan. We will then drive to Mount Arbel overlooking the northern shores of the Sea of Galilee, and one of the Zealot strongholds. We will then return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 11 – WEDNESDAY – March 06 Depart Galilee – Mt. Carmel – Caesarea – Mt. Scopus – Jerusalem
We start our day with a visit to Mount Carmel (included), to see the sites of Elijah’s triumph over the prophets of Baal. Then we will be visiting Caesarea (included), by the sea there we will visit the Crusader’s castle, the Roman amphitheater. Then we arrive in Jerusalem, and stop on Mount Scopus for a genesis welcome. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem
Day 12 – THURSDAY – March 07 Upper Room – Gethsemane – Galicantu – Via Dolorosa – Garden Tomb
On our last day in Jerusalem, after breakfast we will start our day with a visit to the Upper Room where Jesus had His Last Supper and where the Holy Spirit descended on the Apostles. We will then continue to visit the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus had His agony and was betrayed. There we will pause for a prayer time in the garden later. We will then we will visit the House of Caiaphas (included), where Peter denied Christ three times. Our next stop will be the Antonia Fortress, the site of Pilate’s Palace. We will pass many of the traditional 14 Stations of the Cross on Via Dolorosa where we will also visit the Ecce Homo convent where the Pavement (Lithostrotos) where Pilate judged Jesus (included). Then we will visit the Garden Tomb a peaceful spot where we can remember Christ’s crucifixion, burial and resurrection, after that we will go to hotel for dinner and overnight. (B,L,D)
